The brief called for an open office that could stimulate creativity and teamwork while still supporting focused work and formal meetings. It also needed to transform easily for client events, requiring the planning, acoustics and shared spaces to accommodate very different modes without making the workplace feel over-programmed.
The finished office is practical without feeling rigid. It gives the team clear places to focus, meet and gather, while allowing client events to become part of the life of the workplace. Daylight, colour and simple spatial cues create an environment that feels connected, comfortable and distinctly Mintel.
The layout reflects how the team works, balancing shared eating and meeting areas with quieter work zones. Changes in flooring define different activities without relying on solid partitions, while suspended pendants give the breakout areas a more social scale. Varied ceiling heights allow natural light to travel through the office and improve acoustic performance above workstations and formal meeting rooms. Warm tones drawn from Mintel’s corporate colours create familiarity across the space, bringing identity to the workplace without overwhelming its calm, open character. Flexible furniture and planning allow working areas to be reconfigured when the office shifts into event mode.
