The new office needed to provide an efficient home for the organisation while reflecting the openness and freshness associated with New Zealand. Within a commercial tower setting, the design had to create a distinct sense of identity without compromising the practical requirements of a modern workplace.

The planning and FF&E approach prioritise natural light, clear circulation and comfortable working settings. A restrained material language gives the office a calm professional foundation, allowing New Zealand references and the organisation’s identity to be incorporated without becoming overly literal. Meeting, focused-work and shared areas are resolved as part of one coherent workplace experience.
The finished office is light, functional and welcoming. It provides Tourism New Zealand with a credible base for partners and visitors while giving staff a clear, comfortable environment for daily work.
