A broad and frequently changing range of chilled and ambient products needed to be presented coherently while allowing individual brands to tell their own stories. The pavilion also required demonstration cooking, product launches and private commercial meetings, so it had to work equally well as showroom, event space and business platform.

Natural oak plinths and slim steel display frames form the central product islands, while black timber shelving and integrated refrigeration line the perimeter. A black-and-timber floor pattern establishes a clear axis, encouraging visitors to move through the pavilion and discover each display. Modular units can be recombined for different product quantities and launches, with storage and signage integrated discreetly into each element. Planting softens the classic black, white and timber palette and adds a natural reference to New Zealand. A commercial kitchen supports a sleek demonstration counter, while three private meeting rooms allow wholesalers to continue conversations away from the exhibition floor. Large LED screens rotate New Zealand Story content and connect individual products to their origins.
The pavilion makes national identity operational. Flexible displays keep pace with changing brands, the kitchen brings products to life, and integrated meeting spaces turn interest into conversation. The result is a permanent platform for New Zealand exporters rather than a temporary exhibition stand.
