The restaurant needed to reference Spain without reproducing a conventional themed interior. The design also had to support the movement and variety associated with small-plate dining, giving different elements of the experience their own energy while remaining visually coherent.

Classic white walls provide a clean architectural backdrop, allowing stronger textures and vibrant colours to define the dining experience. Contemporary street-art graphics by The Orange Blowfish cut across the more traditional elements, creating a deliberate contrast between familiar Spanish references and a younger urban attitude. The material and graphic layers give different areas their own emphasis without breaking the restaurant into disconnected themes.
Pintxos feels lively, contemporary and social. Traditional cues remain present, but the colour and artwork prevent the space from becoming nostalgic, creating a modern setting suited to the shared and informal character of the food.
