The compact 130-square-metre venue needed a clear seafood identity without relying on a literal nautical theme. It also had to feel bright and fresh within the below-street Found 158 setting and work comfortably from daytime brunch through to evening cocktails.

White furniture and whitewashed timber create a light foundation, while aqua blue and tropical wallpaper add colour and energy. Marine references are used selectively: boat cleats, rope and a boathouse-row feature wall give the interior character without turning it into a themed environment. The bar is detailed like the inside of a boat shed, with exposed framing and a weatherboard-clad front. Together, these elements create an informal coastal language suited to the restaurant’s seafood menu.
The finished venue feels playful, youthful and easy-going. Its fresh palette and restrained nautical details create a clear identity while keeping the atmosphere relaxed enough for long brunches, casual dinners and evening drinks.
