The programme brought together physical therapy, nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine, psychology, yoga and exercise within one 700-square-metre facility. Each discipline required privacy and specialist functionality, while the patient journey needed to remain intuitive, calm and connected to natural light.

The reception and waiting area became the emotional heart of the project. Leather sofas, bookshelves, rugs, timber flooring, lamps and planting create the feeling of entering a private living room. Beyond it, black steel-framed wired glass divides consultation and exercise rooms while allowing daylight to travel through the plan. An anticlockwise circulation route guides patients naturally from check-in to consultation, treatment and return to reception.
The Clinic puts the patient at the centre of both the plan and the atmosphere. Natural timber, polished concrete, soft furnishings and filtered light create a sense of pause, while subtle sporting references connect the space to active recovery. The result is professional without feeling clinical: a calm sanctuary from the pace of Shanghai.
