The design needed to feel connected to Little Creatures’ international identity while responding to a compact Shanghai site. Industrial materials were important to the brewery story, but the space also needed enough warmth, colour and humour to avoid becoming heavy or overly themed.

Brick, metal, timber and steel shipping-container elements establish the industrial framework. Rather than allowing that palette to dominate, fresh green accents and quirky details are layered through the room, bringing energy and a more approachable character to the harder materials. The contrast between robust brewery references and brighter interventions gives the venue its visual rhythm and keeps the compact interior lively.
The completed space feels casual, direct and sociable. Its industrial foundation clearly belongs to a working beer brand, while the colour and playful details give the Shanghai venue a personality of its own.
