The new concept needed to feel recognisably Luneurs while supporting a broader all-day dining programme. It had to work equally well for casual brunch, social dining and longer stays, with careful attention to kitchen flow, food preparation, acoustics and seating. The design also needed to make the most of the open corner site and views over the Former French Concession.

The result is a restaurant that feels open and social without losing intimacy. Light, planting and views soften the more substantial walnut and stone elements, while the operational elements remain part of the experience rather than being hidden away. The space gives Luneurs a more grown-up hospitality expression while retaining the ease and familiarity of the brand.
Traditional French references are expressed through a contemporary material palette: rough-cut stone counters sit beside brushed stainless-steel cabinetry, while walnut, cane, marble, sheer curtains and pink onyx bring warmth and refinement. Seating wraps the windows to create intimate pockets within the larger room, and floor-to-ceiling shelving gives the counter zone a stronger domestic character. A visible plate-preparation counter brings activity into the dining room. Acoustic treatments are integrated into columns and ceilings, while planting — including a suspended stainless-steel garden — extends the surrounding landscape into the interior.
