Take a walk through our lastest bakery design for 有盐 (have salt). Interior uses simple material and colour to create a modern, clean-lined, comfortable and relaxed interior environment. Walnut joinery and brass bring a natural warmth contrasting against the pale green and rustic concrete surfaces.

The narrow shop needed to accommodate daily onsite baking, a long product display and customer seating while keeping the oven and working bakery visible. Large equipment also required future access without dismantling the completed fit-out, and the existing double-height volume needed to contribute meaningfully to the customer experience.

A restrained façade of pale grey plaster, soft green tile and minimal signage distinguishes the bakery from its neighbours. Warm timber joinery opens toward the street and frames views into production. Inside, walnut, antiqued brass and distressed concrete balance Japanese minimalism with a more rustic material character. The centre of the plan is kept open so customers can see the bakery at work, with counters and seating arranged along the sides. Kitchen walls, shelving and display counters are designed to be removable, allowing the bread oven to be replaced without damaging the fit-out. Folding windows connect the interior to a small terrace, while a reworked mezzanine adds seating and new façade openings bring daylight into the double-height space.
The finished bakery gives craft and product visual priority. Its flexibility resolves the technical demands of daily production, while natural light, warm materials and intimate seating make it a genuine neighbourhood destination.
