The compact 200-square-metre restaurant needed a meaningful refresh without losing the informal character that existing customers associated with the venue. Colour and branding had to create impact, while the kitchen needed a stronger connection to the dining room.

The updated Tepito feels energetic, warm and direct. Greater visibility into the kitchen brings more life to the room, while the colour and graphic elements create a memorable setting without overwhelming the compact space.
Pink and peacock-green accents are layered with rustic timber to bring warmth and personality into the interior. A new open kitchen creates depth through the plan and makes preparation and movement part of the customer experience. The stronger colour palette and artwork by Citizen Grit give the restaurant a clearer visual identity while remaining consistent with the relaxed spirit of a neighbourhood Mexican cantina.
