The compact footprint needed to accommodate a commercial bakery, hot kitchen, customer seating and direct interaction between chefs and diners. Operational separation was necessary, but the space still needed to feel open, friendly and connected.

The design takes its cues from workshops: exposed fixings, heavy-duty materials, modular cabinetry and trestle-style supports make production part of the visual language. Raised cabinets reduce the barrier between staff and guests, while a glazed wall separates the bakery without hiding it. Teal vinyl flooring and continuous wall tiles link the working and customer areas. A central table made from plywood, steel and wired glass creates an informal place to eat and includes recessed storage for condiments.
Raw metal, glass and tile are balanced by warm plywood and playful colour. The result is a compact restaurant where the process of baking and cooking remains visible, turning everyday production into part of the experience.
