The compact bistro needed to support relaxed all-day dining while organising customer and service areas across two floors. The interior also needed enough character to feel distinctive without competing with the food or outdoor setting.

A simple palette of light colour and texture creates a calm backdrop for brunches and afternoon dining. Clean geometric patterns structure the space and contrast with turned-timber details, introducing warmth and a more crafted quality. Indoor and alfresco areas are treated as parts of the same relaxed environment.
The finished bistro feels light, approachable and easy to occupy throughout the day. The balance of clean geometry and warm timber gives the room definition while preserving the casual character of a neighbourhood restaurant.
