Within a small footprint, the bar required strong product display, efficient service and enough visual character to stand out within a busy group of neighbouring venues. It also needed to feel distinctive without becoming formal or overly themed.

The bar is placed at the centre of the plan and framed by twelve illuminated arches, each creating an individual display for the gin collection. Blue and green tones, earthy textures, overhead planting and juniper-patterned wallpaper build a botanical atmosphere. A panelled counter, velvet seating and a large semicircular mirror introduce softness and familiarity, while the mirror expands the perceived depth of the room and reflects the activity around the bar.
The compact interior feels layered, warm and focused. Product, lighting and planting work together to give the bar a clear identity, while the connection to Shankang Li's central courtyard extends its energy beyond the 70-square-metre room.
