The small footprint had to accommodate dining, bar service and a strong sense of activity. The design also needed continuity with the first venue without simply reproducing it.

A brightly tiled bar forms the centre of the room and concentrates the energy of the restaurant. Recycled timber flooring, exposed services and industrial detailing carry forward familiar elements from the original location. Playful graphics and colour keep the atmosphere informal, while large bi-fold doors open the interior to courtyard seating.
The bar-led plan makes the compact room feel active and social. When the doors are open, inside and outside operate as one relaxed setting, giving the second location a recognisable El Luchador character shaped to its particular site.
